This is the issue: I started at 290 pounds (BMI 47) and managed to lose 25 pounds and am stuck. I really need to lose another 20 pounds as fast as possible for health reasons. Exercise is still really difficult for me, but am trying to move more throughout the day. If I got really committed, how few calories could I safely consume and not go into &#8220;starvation mode&#8221; or hurt myself in any way, given it was for a short amount of time (2 months or less).<br />

I am 160 cm and i&#8217;m 50.9 kg.<br />

So I would like to be about 45 kg without damaging my health.<br />

And if I ;<br />
-don&#8217;t eat candy that much maybe about 1 a month ( well I don&#8217;t eat candy really, I have braces and my teeth always hurt when I chew the candy. )<br />
- only eat yogurt and fruits.<br />
- only eat half of what I would normally eat<br />
- only eat about 3-4 meals a day.<br />
- eat dinner that my mom makes which will include fast food. ( I can&#8217;t chose what&#8217;s for dinner :/ ) So I can&#8217;t just say no to her that I won&#8217;t eat what she is offering me. I don&#8217;t want her to know about this weight loss I am going to do because I don&#8217;t want her to worry. <img src='http://omronhj112pedometer.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
&#8211; Will this damage my health in any way ?<br />
I want to lose weight so my thighs won&#8217;t touch and my cheekbones will be more visible.<br />

I am between 5&#8242;8 and 5&#8242;9 and weigh 140. I have &#8216;love handles&#8217; and most my weight is in my legs, especially my thighs. I know there is no such thing as spot reduction, but any particular exercises to help? I eat well and have already devised a better eating plan, although tips are welcome.</p>

with all the walking I am doing, I should have lost 1,000 LB by now. WTF?<br />
How can I fix that?<br />
I used to be in the Army for Seven years and I did not lose any weight there either!<br />
I need to fix this now!<br />
I know I drink a lot of pop and beer. I even eat too much quite often. But I should be working off the extra weight. But I am not getting rid of it!<br />
Not even when I was going to the gym with a personal trainer once a week.<br />
How can I fix this?</p>

I have weighed about 70-72 for as long as I can remember, maybe since I was 17 while always being active and relatively healthy. I have been desperately trying to lose 3kg on 1000-1300 calories a day this last month and I do 1 hour a day of serious power walking plus an hour normal walking around (I know this as I have a pedometer). I have cut out alcohol except a couple on saturdays, no sugar or sweet or refined foods, no red meat and fatty meat and have only low fat dairy products. I&#8217;m eating healthy. Why won&#8217;t my weight change in the slightest? My blood tests don&#8217;t seem to show thyroid problems. They say you should lose 1-2 pounds/week I have lost zilch in 5 weeks!! My clothes fit the same and I haven&#8217;t noticed I&#8217;m more toned or maybe very slightly. Anyway I do feel good with the huge increase in exercise. Any ideas what could be wrong? I can&#8217;t cut my calories any more with all the exercise I&#8217;m doing</p>
