OKAY I LIED, I DON’T WANT TO KILL MYSELF EVER I JUST PUT THAT SO YOU GUYS CAN READ MY QUESTION…THE REAL QUESTION IS: I WANT TO PLAY A SPORT OR GO TO A GYM FOR MY HEALTH, BUT I’M HAVING FAMILY ISSUES WITH MY MOM. HELP?
I’m 14 and never played a sport. I did do track in middle school, but I didn’t like it because running isn’t my sport really. I don’t know what my sport is. I’m a girly girl, and I love my figure. I’m really skinny, but I can feel some weight coming on. I’m not really a competitive person, and I’m not wanting to play a sport professionally. I just want to play a sport you know just so I can be fit and for my health and exercise. I did basketball, soccer, track, cheer-leading. None of them worked out. Now I just want to stay fit and work on my body. When I did try out for those sports, my mom was so lazy. She didn’t want to do anything. I have really bad family problems as in my mom not letting me go nowhere, my mom still married to a man that isn’t what she wanted, my mom not listening to me, my mom not talking to me about important stuff. So much. I told her I wanted to work out and stuff, but all she says is, talk to your dad. She’s lazy to take me anywhere. I don’t know what to do, I’m not going to be able to do anything without her being there for me. To be honest, I feel so uncomfortable when my mom did cheer for me when I was in track, it’s like wow she wasn’t paying attention to me before, why start now. I’m not blaming her, but I just don’t know what sport to do or should I just work out at a gym or something? I don’t know.
Any sports that are girly? Any tips on what to do with my mom? Any tips at all?
I am 16, 5 10 and 180 pounds. And i exercise moderately (Over weight)
I have been eating health and exercising for months( i don’t remember how many). I have lost 20 pounds to get to 180. However, now that i am aware of what i eat, i have cut many unhealthy foods from my life and i feel that my body just doesn’t need as much to be full. I am now concerned about my caloric intake because i don’t meet it and i really don’t want to push more food in my body when i feel i don’t need it. Please give me good advice, i don’t need websites to find out my required intake. I would be really nice if a experienced person answers this question. So do i really have to meet the requirment and i don’t want to screw up my metabolism.
I don’t wear/hate wearing a watch, and I only have a tiny one with a face on it so it’s near impossible to know when I’ve ran for a minute and it’s time to switch to walking again. Is there some sort of a gadget that would beep for me? Like, that I could set to beep in 1.5 minutes and then in .5 minutes and then in 1.5 minutes again? Or how do people do this sort of thing? I don’t want to have to look down at a watch all the time. I wear a pedometer, and that helps me keep track of things a little. I don’t want to be limited to running on a tredmill because I don’t have access to it on weekends.
can’t think of one. I thought about The Cooper Room because I recently went to a health spa for a week called The Cooper Institute, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks so much.
