Walking is the best exercise, but before you do any exercises, ask your family physician first. He or she will be able to tell you what you can and can not do. If you don’t have any heart or blood pressure problems or other health problems, you can find a exercise tape on the internet called “Big On Fitness”. This tape is not geared for the “Jane Fonda’s” out there. This tape is geared to those who are significantly over weight and if you are able to tolerate these exercises every day, you can see and feel positive results in a few months. In conjunction with exercise eating right is also helpful. Ask your doctor about a healthy eating plan.
Good luck to you! I hope you feel better soon! And you will as long as you continue to improve your health both physically and mentally.
Bare facts: I’m 15. I’m 5′5″. I’m 246. My BMI is around 41. I’m obese. I know this. I need to lose weight. I don’t want to do this because of the glam factor though.
I’m on Topamax for what doctors think are tiny seizures, along with literally second bursts of dizziness. I have chest pains that aren’t heart nor lung related. My neck and back constantly hurts. Heart disease and attack runs in my family, uncle and great-great-grandfather. My father and my grandmother then both sides up has diabeties. My mother is on meds for high blood pressure. There’s thyroid problems, cancer risks, etc.
Bottom line? I’m doing this for my health, before my metabolism drops and it becomes harder. I don’t have money for a personal trainer. I have a treadmill and an exercise mat in my exercise room, then a Gazelle and something else upstairs that I do not like as it’s upstairs. Please help me figure out what will help. I want to be around my target weight, as quickly as possible.
My wife and used to be very outdoorsy types, biking, snowboarding, climbing and the like. After a series of injuries a couple of years ago we became less active and have since added a few more pounds than we’d like I’ve started to exercise again, winter is coming up, but I am having a hard time getting my wife motivated. Does anyone have any ideas, I’m starting to worry about her health. Thank you.
I’m doing a project for health on anorexia and bulimia and i need to know what exercise they do.
