I need to lose at least 25-30 pounds as I am having multiple medical problems, the least being the new hip and leg pain which is causing me to be unable to even walk for exercise. I went to the chiropractor yesterday and my hip was “out”, so he put it back and today it is back “out”. I cannot afford multiple doctor visits, and I know that if I could lose this weight, I would relieve much of the stress on the joints themselves, making myself more mobile. Any ideas?

I am actually under weight and am in the process of tring to gain 15 pounds or so. Thats why this is going to be so hard for me. I need to come up with a routine that will get me in shape and build muscle without losing any weight. Really I cant afford to lose any weight but I cant afford not to get in shape either. Most people associate exercise with losing weight and being in shape with being thin but thats not the case at all. I am probably the thinnest most out of shape person ever and you would never know it by just looking at me, seeing as how, I dont really have an once of fat on me and appear to be toned in all the right places, however if I tried running up the street I’d probably collapse after a few yards. I am a complete couch potato I have not exercised in years and am afraid it’s taking a toll on my health. I am lazy and tierd all the time, I know I would feel a lot better if I started exercising. I am actually very concerned about health issues, but have just been to scared to exercise for so many years for fear of losing weight. The most exercise I get is lifting the remote. I know it sounds bad but it’s kind of true. Anyways, if anyone out there knows anything about how I could start a regimen that will get me in shape and feeling good without losing ANY weight please help. Thanx.

How much exercise should a 15 year-old boy do?
I wanna start being healthier and to do that I need to know what I must do to stay healthy.
What kinds of exercise are good to do?
What kinds of foods should I eat?
What kinds of things should I do in general?

30 mins on the elliptical or 14 mins on the treadmill (fast)

all of the above… i like the way i feel when i work out and i like feeling like i look good… its also a stress reliever..when im angry or upset or stressed i go to a kickboxing class and beat the fluff out of the punching bag… works wonders for my mood :)
