Not necisarily 15 pounds in 2 weeks, that’s just an example. But I have a goal to reach atleast 50 pounds in about 7 and a half months….I excerisize my *** off 6 days of 7 a week. I used to NEVER drink anything but soda practically…now I NEVER drink soda. It’s been alot easier than expected, lol. I was a night eater, I would stay up all night eating crap. Now I don’t eat anything at night…and have started going to bed at a decent hour. [11:00...I was going at like 7 in the morning].
I am 5′9 and 195 lbs.. not good. I want to weigh somewhere between 140-49/50ish by 7 months. If I could chose I want to weight 140. I started this a week ago….but it was an experimental week, now I pretty much know what to do…but I still need some help. All I really do i some light weight lifting for my arms, and some machines for my arms…and treadmill, and boy do I get a workout, or atleast feel like I do. I also run, I have a pedometer. If I eat about 800 cals a day..& drink lots of water.
I’m 36, an occasional smoker, a bit overweight, but in general good health. I rejoined the gym recently and regularly get my heart rate up to 171 bpm, although yesterday I recorded 182 bpm after using the treadmill. My recovery is fairly swift, I feel no pain, but is this a safe heart rate to reach, and if so, what is my safe upper limit?
Well I’ve been exercising a lot, and everything says make sure you burning X amount of calories. But how do you really know? I mean I know there are websites you can type in your activity, but that’s more of an estimate.
My boyfriend said to get a Pedometer, but that seems to only measure distance/steps for walkers. I walk/run & bike ride + I’ll be adding in some weight training.
Someone else at school said to get a watch that monitors your heart rate and you can calculate calories burned from that…but I wouldn’t know how?
OK…now I’m over confused. Which is better? Does anyone have any they’ve used and liked?
I thought about this one, but will it help when I ride my bike, or only when I’m walking/running?http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d…
I’m sort of on a budget, I don’t want to spend more than $50, and cheaper would be better. Since half the time stuff that’s more expensive just has more gadgets but not anything I really need.
I am a cross country runner and i am looking to by a new watch for keeping my times etc. Is it worth getting a heart rate monitor and pedometer built in? What are some good brands and models? I am willing to spend quite a bit.
when I take my dog for a walk & I wear my pedometer & can see how many miles, calories used I always wonder about her
