I asked a question before asking what I should eat for breakfast lunch and dinner and then what I could do for exercise. I got some pretty good answers back. So for the past couple days, this is what my lunches have been:
Feb 1
-turkey on wheat bread, cheddar cheese, and mustard
-bag of veggies (carrots, celery, tomatoes, broccoli)
-fruitables drink
-smartfood popcorn clusters
-fruit cup
Total- 490 calories
Dinner:
-shrimp
-veggies
Total-190 calories
Feb2
- canned tune (in water) on wheat
-fruitables drink
-veggies
-cherries
-nutrigrain bar
Total-450 calories
On Feb1, I know I didn’t get the amount of calories I am supposed to (about 1500) , so my mom told me to eat ice cream…..And on Feb2, I ate a poptart which was 400 calories…
For exercise, I play wii sports for about an hour. I also run in place for about 5-10 minutes since my iPod has a pedometer and counts the calories you burn. I also might start doing tae bo every day. I found a site that tells me how many calories I burn doing these things its something like sparkpeople . com. I am not allowed to go out running or walking (my mom doesn’t think it’s safe) and I can’t leave the house. (no one to take me, no where to go). I also can’t do much outside because of the snow.

My mom keeps telling me to loose weight and that I should exercise more. I am not fat by any means, but my mom thinks I am so I have decided to exercise more for my health and to tone up a bit and make my mom happy. I’m just wondering, is this a good exercise plan that I will do every day this summer?
10 minutes non stop running in the morning (sometimes)
30 minutes hoola hooping
1 hour bike riding, flat land, some hills
30 minutes rollerblading (sometimes)
9 hours swimming (only this saturday and next) – Intense swim practice
I have been doing this everyday for the past week and a half and plan to do it for the rest of the summer.
Is this a good plan and will it help me loose weight and tone up?

Cut out ALL : Cakes, crisps, and chocolate and hight in fat snacks.
Replace them with: Nuts, seeds, fruit, toast or cereals..
Drink lots of water – no calories
Also cut out all fast food – Macdonald’s, kfc, pizza hut etc
instead you can go to – eg waterstones – where you can eat a panini.
Buy a pedometer, and try to do your 10,000 steps a day
Try to do some energetic dancing at home – This is a great way to burn off those calories.
No longer use the lift – use the stairs – you will be increasing your fitness, every time you use them.
Dance to eg – enerjectic songs
If you are walking in the park – try running – its good to build up a sweat.
Stick to this if you do want to loose weight
Depending on how much you weigh – stick to this about a month – and go on some scales……….And keep doing it

I want to lose 20 lbs. I’m 5′9 and 175lbs. Large frame
I have a treadmill and my budget is very limited so i can’t spend a lot of money on groceries. Why is health food so expensive?

I’m 12 years old, at a height of 4″11, and definitely weighing more than I should (at least 20 lbs. overweight-I think o.o). I want to not only lose weight, but become more healthy too. I want to look better and be more fit and lean for the next school year, so I definitely need some help. If you can, can you provide some exercises,tips, and the right foods to eat, or all in all, a health and fitness plan for me? It’ll be greatly appreciated :]
