I had gone to Walmart today, looking for a different pedometer I’d seen online. It had great reviews and was reasonably priced. However, when I got there, they didn’t have it – or anything of the same brand, although their sites shows different.
Anyway, we went to the sports store next to it, and I found a Sportline pedometer. Now I’ve read a few reviews online, and it’s not looking so good. Has anyone ever used this? If so, what was your experience with it?
Thanks =]
I am looking for a small pedometer that doesn’t clip onto my clothing. I want to wear it to work to see how much activity I get in a normal day and don’t want everyone to see it. I’ve checked out the Nike+ SportBand but it only works with a particular Nike sneaker; which I don’t want (I have MBTs). A wrist band or anything that isn’t very visible (in my shoe, on the inside of my clothes, etc.) would be fabulous!!! Thanks!

In my manual, it said nothing about where to position the phone to accurately count your steps. I know it has the advanced calibration feature, but that still doesn’t answer my question about positioning.
Let me phrase this another way:
I tend to keep my phone at the front of my pack, which is centered over my chest. In order for the pedometer, once calibrated, to accurately count my steps, would I need to keep it somewhere closer to my hips – like in my pocket?
I think this is a brilliant feature to include on a cell phone, and I hope to have it help me improve my health, but I need to know it’s working properly, and not giving me a loose estimate of steps taken in a day.
Thanks in advance for your insight!
