It appears to be unconstitutional for the federal government to require citizens to buy a product, especially if the product is unrelated to the exercise of a something that is not a right.

Obama coming in with health care; basically leave you in a nursing home to pass away. Now he want to control the internet. Turn it off when ever he feels like it. What ever happen to our 1st Admendment…
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

If the government is paying for my health care, then it is in the best interest of the government to:
1) Make sure I eat healthy. Should ban any and all foods that is determined to be harmful.
2) Ban smoking with stiff criminal penalties for those who refuse to comply.
3) Mandate an exercise regiment determined to meet my physical needs.
4) Regulate children’s sports, banning some to cut down on the cost of injuries.
And many other ones that will come up.

People already binge drink, smoke, do drugs, over eat and under exercise and frequently become ill and seek medical care. (which is why health care is so expensive) Now if we know we get government funded healthcare people will be more encouraged to not take care of themselves as they know the taxpayer will take care of them. This will lead to even higher taxes to cover increasing medical costs and the vicious cycle will continue.

Rather than use money, the government should adopt programs and policies that help reduce the demand for health care. They should promote a healthy lifestyle of exercise and nutrition vice trying to fix medical problems caused by smoking, laziness, and excess.
