I asked a question before asking what I should eat for breakfast lunch and dinner and then what I could do for exercise. I got some pretty good answers back. So for the past couple days, this is what my lunches have been:
Feb 1
-turkey on wheat bread, cheddar cheese, and mustard
-bag of veggies (carrots, celery, tomatoes, broccoli)
-fruitables drink
-smartfood popcorn clusters
-fruit cup
Total- 490 calories
Dinner:
-shrimp
-veggies
Total-190 calories
Feb2
- canned tune (in water) on wheat
-fruitables drink
-veggies
-cherries
-nutrigrain bar
Total-450 calories
On Feb1, I know I didn’t get the amount of calories I am supposed to (about 1500) , so my mom told me to eat ice cream…..And on Feb2, I ate a poptart which was 400 calories…
For exercise, I play wii sports for about an hour. I also run in place for about 5-10 minutes since my iPod has a pedometer and counts the calories you burn. I also might start doing tae bo every day. I found a site that tells me how many calories I burn doing these things its something like sparkpeople . com. I am not allowed to go out running or walking (my mom doesn’t think it’s safe) and I can’t leave the house. (no one to take me, no where to go). I also can’t do much outside because of the snow.
If you think there is anything I should add or take away please let me know. Thanks!

1. am i right in thinking that when trying to lose weight, you must eat 1200 calories, in order to stop the body going into starvation which hinders weight loss? Yesterday, i eat about 800 but i didnt feel starving, a bit peckish at times perhaps, but wouldn’t that mean that my body WAS getting what it needed? I’d like to go from a uk size 14 to 10 by Xmas Day and if i can do this by really cutting down on calories and perhaps feeling hungry, but not let myself get to the starving point, then would this work?
2. if i eat a salad which had 100 calories and eat it twelve times in a day or i eat two pasta dishes with cheese which were say, 600 calories, in both cases it comes to 1200 calorries but would the weight / fat loss be any different between the two?
3. if you must burn more calories than you consume in order to lose weight, isn’t that incredibly difficult to do, bearing in mind that i did the NHS reccommnended 10,000 steps (as i walk around the shop floor at work quite a bit) and according to the pedometer that only burnt 472ish calories which would leave another 728 calories to burn just to arrrive at zero let alone burn enough to get to negative calories in order to drop weight.
sorry this is long but i find this all a bit confusing…
any extra advice or information would be appreciated

Hello! My name is Liliana and I am 12 years old. I weigh around 130 pounds and I am 5feet 2inches. I have tried asking what a good diet is before and a good list of exercises, but I never get a good response. Can you please help me? I want to loose extra belly fat and some around my cheeks and thighs. I have tried looking for a list of good exercises but I haven’t been able to find anything good. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a list of good exercises and and a good diet plan. I have also recently acquired a pedometer so I will start walking more too. About how many steps should you take a day? I have no access to a gym or a treadmill and such things as those. Thank You for all of your help.

I am 47. I go to a gym for an hour day. I belong to Weight Watchers. I am tall, slim and athletic.
But sometimes I wonder – is it worth it??
Sometimes I just feel like letting myself go, relax on the couch with ice cream and not bothering. True, it would be bad for my health in the long run, BUT I would enjoy the sofa and the ice cream.
Am I missing out on quality of life?
