..have bad effects on my health? OK, let me flesh this out a bit. I have been a health and exercise nut, since the age of 15. I am now in my mid-50s and was retired for a few years, but the economic downturn has forced me back to work. I have found that unless I drink a 16 oz.”Monster” with my lunch [or late break depending on my hours], I’m just not with it and cant do my job efficiently the last part of the day. I’m wondering what kind of ill effect this can have on my health if I continue doing this for another year or so. Aside from some back issues, I am otherwise in good health. Thanks.
well my little bro wants to get a six pack (i dont know why) now hes pritty fit does a lot of sports but he looked on youtube and is doing these exercises to get one now normaly i wouldn’t give a dam but hes 12 and i was wondering could this damage his health?
All suggestions welcome! I’m thinking healthy eating, exercise…but what other small steps could I take to help me be healthier?
And I’ve chosen the number 7 because I think it’s a good number of ‘daily’ things to work towards! But if you only want to suggest one thing, that’s fine too.
If America banned High fructose Corn Syrup and trans fats, improved the air quality, and motiviated people to exercise more….people would be much healthier and happier. The Government could provide universal health care at much lower costs.
Watching these town hall debates today, it’s apparent to me that Americans would rather rake their elected officials over the coals about these proposed healthcare reforms instead of addressing the problems with the American diet and lifestyle.
Too many Americans eat fatty, preservative-laden foods and don’t get enough exercise. Too many Americans drive a 1/4 mile to buy a gallon of milk or to buy a lottery ticket. No wonder America leads the world in heart attacks.
Japan, for example, relies on a diet high in fish and rice and yet only accounts for 9% of the world’s total pharmaceutical drug use (the US and Canada alone account for half).
Another question is, will the drug companies allow it? Don’t the drug manufacturers want Americans to continue eating their McDonalds, KFC and Hot Pockets at every meal?
