I have the game, but while i was out with the pedometer i lost it…. could anyone tell me where i could buy the pedometer on its own, without the game. thanks

I recently downloaded the “My Health Coach: Manage Your Weight” DS rom onto my R4. It says I need to record my daily steps using a pedometer – which is only available if you buy the actual hardcopy game.
I can’t move on to the next stage unless I have a pedometer to record my steps.
Is there any way to play the game or record my steps without using a pedometer?
(And please don’t tell me to just buy the game – they don’t sell it yet where I’m from)
I just saw this game at the store and it comes with the pedometer. Is it worth the money? Do you like it?
Is anyone else having trouble with it? Mine always seems to fall out, but it doesn’t appear to actually be broken.
