Argh I’ve read so many advice from all these people and there’s soooooo many misconceptions that hurt people instead of helping.
1) You resistance train before cardio because in the beginning your using up quick stored energy instead of the fat on your body. Cardio burns more fat so do it when all the stored energy has been used.
2) Toning does not exist. Tone is just the state of your relaxed muscle. If you do high reps low weight your muscles build more endurance and firmer they don’t look any better or have any better definition.
3) Doing ab exercises does not give you abs. There is no such thing as “spot reduction.” Losing the fat on your stomach requires dieting and cardio.
4) Doing ab exercises w/o additional weight only gives you endurance not muscle growth.
5) You can’t exercises crazily and not diet and expect good results.
6) There are NO quick fixes, any dramatic change takes time to do it right and to do it well.
There have been many younger women older men pairing for years. Some have been married for years and have several children. Some people might argue that the older men use viagra. But there have been many older men younger women relationships thru history who have had children years before Viagra. Did they have natural herbs or supplements? Did good health, exercise and being in shape play a role? I have some older men today don’t need Viagra but the ones that don’t tend to be in good shape and excellent health.
I do 30 pushups and 40 situps a day. Right now i do them right when i get out of bed in the morning, before even washing my face. I know it probably doesn’t really matter very much, but from a health/fitness standpoint, are morning or night exercises more effective?
Starting In september…I started a running regimen in order to try to lose weight…Starting running 2 miles a day roughly….Recently I picked up the pace…for the past month or so….been running 2 miles and 3 miles every other day….Also this past month….been participating in an indoor soccer league as well as a pedometer challenge….meaning…Im walking close to 13 miles on top of my daily run of 2-3 miles (30,000 or steps on average a day)….8 days ago…I got my first case of shin splints…lower shin….Very difficult to walk….been R.I.C.E…..left shin is about 95% after a week of this treatment….Right shin is maybe 60%….causes me to limp to walk….What are your recommendations…I am now forced to move to a swimming exercise regimen….How long will it take to improve? I’m seeing my doctor in 8 days over the holiday break. Im 29, have lost 25 lbs…in pretty good shape..I will be getting new sneakers as well. Please tell me I can have my old regimen back soon?
I live in a small apartment in the city and just got a 7 week old retriever/blue heeler mix. He is very smart and energetic and is doing great with his puppy pad training. His vet is very old school and told me that I could start bringing him out side at 8 weeks. I keep reading stuff in books and online about not bringing a puppy out before all vaccinations are complete at 16 weeks. I called another clinic today to get a another opinion and they told me that he should not be brought out until 16 weeks because he could contract rabies from the excrement of a rabid animal. There seems to be multiple schools of thought. The issue is not so much the pad training, though I would obviously like to get him house broken asap, but rather that he is an energetic little guy and will eventually grow to be an energetic bigger guy. I want to be able to run/walk with him and get him as much exercise as possible to ensure that he is happy, healthy and well balanced, but at the same time, I don’t want to risk his health and possibly his life, since we’ve sorta grown a little attached to the little guy. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding what age he should be allowed out or recommendations about alternative forms of exercise? THANKS!
