I am 51 and in fairly good health and exercise regularly. I have never found it easy to get up in the morning but now its worse than ever. I am not depressed but on antidepressant meds for life.It takes 2 coffees before I can even consider getting up and then its still like my mind and body are mostly asleep. Would vitamins help please?

I don’t really know if vitamins do help. I take Vitamins C and D; C is because I don’t usually eat or drink things that have it and D for my skin since I don’t go out much. I also take Multi-Vitamins but I read that those don’t give as much of the vitamins it has in it as do the ACTUAL vitamins themselves. Are you getting enough sleep? You need 8 hours of sleep, otherwise your body will react negatively without it. Only advice I can give.

You say you’re on anti depressant meds, could this be a side effect of those? I assume you’ve tried the basic things like going to bed earlier or later (too much sleep can have the same effect) and ensuring you have a healthy diet.
Perhaps you should talk to your doctor about it, s/he may have an insight into what’s causing this because they know your medical history and the medication you’re on at the moment.

Uh, why take antidepressants if you are not depressed ? Try taking BARLEY pills, THEY WORK WONDERS, take them before bed, they are AWESOME !!! BUY SOME TODAY!! also try some royal jelly, get them both at the health food store. STOP taking the antidepressants, TODAY

If you’re not depressed why are you on antidepressants? Did you switch meds recently, because that can have an adverse effect on sleep patterns and quality of sleep.

maybe you should try going to sleep earlier or napping .. you may just be lacking some sleep time.. or talk to your doctor about maybe leaning you off of the depressent medication
