The upvoming Gen. IV Games are titled Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver. Both Games take place in Johto and then Kanto just like the old G/S/C. But many new features are being added, ANY Pokemon that’s in your first slot will follow you, the poke-pedometer thing, Hoenn exclusive Pokemon are available, and of course it’s tradeable to D/P/Pl.

I’m very excited as well!
1. I would think so. A down-grade from previous generations would kind of be a shock.
2. Tradtitionaly, the first 2 releases of Pokemon games (ex. Ruby/Saphhire) have had only a battle tower, while the 3rd release (ex. Emerald) included an entire Battle Frontier. I’m sure there will be some post-elite four battle system, but not necessarily at battle tower.
3. Me, I will probably get SoulSilver because I have Pokemon Colosseum to catch Ho-Oh.
4. I think I’ll pick Cyndaquil. Hopefully, the Pokemons’ movesets will be upgraded with Diamond/Pearl moves. Back then, Flamethrower was a big deal, so their movesets weren’t very interesting.
Another thought…
What do you think they will do about the Kanto portion of the game? The fact that you could return to Kanto in the original was a big deal, but the just recently remade that region for GBA. I’m curious to see what will happen.

1. Yes I think they will bring back the berry system.

3. I will buy Soul Silver first, I’m a big Lugia fan.
4. I will choose cyndaquil, I love fire pokemon.
Well…Considering Platinum coming out, I would say not many people would buy it. But it would be nice to go back to Jhoto…Or mostly Kanto.
