I am looking for a healthy recipe for breakfast smoothies, or any kind of healthy drink. I need to lose about twenty pounds and am exercising and eating well, i just thought there might be a recipe for a smoothie that i can drink in the morning and that will last me till lunch so that i don’t feel the need to eat more.

  • 1. Take 8 ounces of orange juice (reduced sugar variety or use 4 ounces of OJ and 4ounces of water, plus a Splenda)
    2. 1 banana
    3. 1 scoop soy protein power
    4. 1 cup frozen blueberries
Blend for 30 seconds. Makes 2 full smoothies. Save one for an afternoon snack

  • Rachel says:

1 container fat-free flavored yogurt (such as Dannon Light n Fit)
    Handful of ice
    Some OJ
Handful of berries and half a banana
Put all in blender and blend. If your blender is weak, you may need to crush the ice first.
Experiment with the quantities of juice and ice that you need to get the smoothie to your desired consistency. Watch the calories in the OJ though, it can sneak up on you if you put too much in. If you want more protein, try adding half of a scoop of Lean Dessert protein powder, vanilla flavor (you can find it on Amazon).
OR – you could just get the protein powder and make smoothies out of that (the instructions are on the container), just requires ice, milk and the protein powder…but I add fruit as well.

This is a quick easy one I use
Its not bad but its not great and its good to stave off hunger
    1 banana
    1 graham cracker
    1/2 cup skim milk
ice depending on what consistency you want your shake to be
    Blend and enjoy!!
I suppose you can add berries if you’d like. They’ll add sweetness.

Get something with fruit in it, like orange crush, and mix it with something made from wheat, like a whisky.
You’re getting two food groups, plus you get a nice buzz.

I peel and freeze the fruit, deseeded…
I just blend the frozen fruit, no yogurt or ice, with 100% fruit juice to make it smooth.
    could use soy milk???
I LOVE strawberries, banana and peaches…

Fruits are the base and you can combine these with other low-fat products like dairy or fitness cereals. You can find more here: http://www.myhealth-forum.com/ . Good luck!
