I’m almost sitting at 200 lbs, I need to exercise to get this weight off as it is aggravating my arthritis in my back, I wanted to know what you thought ….
1. should I check with a doctor First before starting any type of exercise ( even if it’s exercise around the house …. like : walking, biking, using weights, video exercise tapes ) ??
2. What type of exercises should I be doing ?? I don’t have the access to a gym, I would have to do these at home.
3. What am I looking for as with losing pounds ( how many pounds should I be losing a week )
4. do you think it is possible for a large woman to get fit and in time will actually look like she’s lost a lot of weight ???
Right now, I do only a little of exercising ( besides walking ) due to I get tired REAL fast. My arms and legs begin to tingle, I get headaches easier, heart rate is above normal.
I did not Realize Just how Big I was until i looked in a mirror. Do you think the mirror adds pounds to your look ?

I am about that same weight and am working to change my situation. I would check with your doctor considering your arthritis and the tingling and headaches. I joined Curves three months ago and have lost almost 3% of my bodyfat. If you can’t get to a place like Curves just walk. Slowly increase your distance as it becomes easier for you. A healthy weight loss is 1.5 to 2 pounds a week. It is possible to get fit, I feel better already after 3 months. Good luck – I’ll be praying for you.
