yes i have heard of one search around for it. i do think it exists
i have only heard of manual lap counters for swimmers (strap to your hand, and press a button everytime you conplete a lap). if you are just going back and forth, and you know the length (or width maybe) of the pool you can calculate it from there.
You could probably just attach one to your head?
